but to make it very clear, my car wouldn't be running today if it wasn't for him. My mechanical skills fall somewhere around a 2 on a scale to 10, and without him it would have been either very long with lots of backtracking/damaging things, or very expensive. He was actually kind enough to allow me to park my car in his 2 bay garage for about 3 months, meanwhile leaving about 3 other vehicles to the elements. Not to mention countless hours he spent with me working on the car. Dropping a transmission is a very intimidating proposition for a newcomer to automotive skills, but with his help we got it on the first stab! World record for transmission stabs ;) Can't even begin to thank the guy enough.
